HubSpot integration
RampedUp connects to HubSpot through Zapier. The app is listed as Data Appending by RampedUp, and its action — Append Contact — takes a HubSpot contact, matches it against the RampedUp file and hands back up to 60 fields to write straight back into the record.
A form fill gives you an email address and a first name. This turns that into a person with a standardized title, level, function and employer before a salesperson ever opens the record.
How the Zap is built
Three steps, and it runs on every matching record from then on.
A HubSpot trigger fires
Most commonly New Contact, New Form Submission, or Contact Recently Created or Updated. Anything HubSpot exposes as a trigger can start it.
Append Contact runs
The RampedUp action matches the contact and returns the fields it holds — standardized job title, function and title level, employer, firmographics, local office details and validated contact points.
HubSpot is updated
Use Update Contact, or Create or Update Contact, to write the appended fields back onto the record. Nothing leaves HubSpot and nothing is uploaded by hand.
Integration points worth building
The HubSpot triggers that pay for themselves fastest.
New Form Submission
Enrich inbound leads the moment they arrive, so routing and scoring see a complete record rather than an email address and a first name.
New Contact
Append every contact created in HubSpot, whoever created it — imports, integrations or manual entry.
Contact Recently Created or Updated
Catch records that change after creation, not just at the moment they are made.
New Contact Property Change
Re-append when a key field changes — a new email domain usually means a new employer.
New Contact in List
Enrich a segment as it fills, so a campaign list is complete before it is used.
Find or Create Contact
Pair the append with HubSpot lookup steps so you update the existing record instead of creating a duplicate.
What comes back
Up to 60 fields per matched record — standardized job title, job function and title level, current employer, company firmographics including industry, SIC, NAICS, size and revenue band, local office address and phone, and validated contact points. Every field is listed in the data dictionary.
Contacts whose employment has changed are flagged, so an append doubles as a way of finding the records that have quietly gone stale. See job change notifications for that on its own.
Credits are consumed per successful append, as elsewhere in the platform — a failed match costs nothing. Rates are on the pricing page.
Set it up
The integration lives on Zapier, so it needs a RampedUp account and a Zapier account — no plug-in to install in HubSpot.
