Corporate family tree
RampedUp identifies corporate family trees where companies publish their hierarchy — on a corporate website, a social page, or a public filing such as an SEC filing. Each entity is classified as Ultimate Parent, Parent, Subsidiary or Affiliate, across a company universe of 92,000,000 records.
Selling into an enterprise means knowing which legal entity you are actually talking to, and which other entities sit above and beside it. That structure is only trustworthy when it comes from something the company published itself.
Four entity classifications
Definitions as applied in the data.
Ultimate Parent
Entities that have a Parent with a Subsidiary in their corporate family tree — the top of the structure.
Parent
Entities that own a Subsidiary company, or have Affiliate company records assigned to them.
Subsidiary
Legally unique entities owned by a Parent. Subsidiaries usually have a unique name or website of their own.
Affiliate
Not legally unique — they share a website with their Parent. An Affiliate can be a regional office, an acquired company, or a recognised brand.
How to pull it
In the app
Open the Corporate Family tab inside the RampedUp Battlecard, then use the List Building button to download the result. Each downloaded entity costs one credit.
Through the API
The Corporate Family call takes companyRuId and includeAffiliates. A preliminary scan consumes zero credits, so you can size the tree before you pay for it.
Sourced only from hierarchy a company has published itself. Where a relationship is not public, we do not infer one.
